Apart from this the export consignment whether engineering, automobile, software , or agriculture produce whether raw or finished, is under the risk of pest attack due to the packing material whether timber, wooden pallets, dun age, rice straw or other plant originated material is being used for the importation/exportation of Pest of Quarantine significance. It has been necessary to select and emphasize on more important aspect principles and practices on practical application of more complex Biological and physicochemical aspect of the commodity involved. The entire process is being monitored as per the guidelines of FAO, WHO, PPQS of the respective country in order to comply with the regulation as Global Standard. Despite of ensuring all precautionary measures to protect the food grain and also the packing material from insect pest infestation, the infestation occurs and to control all these, fumigation is the only process which can control all such insects and other animal pest. In modern technology Fumigant is a chemical which at required temperature and pressure, can exist in the gaseous state in sufficient concentration to be lethal to a given organism. And the process involved well experienced, highly skilled & technically sound manpower.
