English: An early draft of the Vietnamese Wikipedia’s logo, using the project's first tagline, Bách khoa tự do (roughly, “free encyclopedia”). This is the only version in which each word was capitalized. I based this image on Nohat's English Wikipedia logo. I set it in Thryomanes, rather than Hoefler Text, because that was the closest-matching font on my system at the time and included precomposed Vietnamese glpyhs. I produced this image using Microsoft Publisher for adding the tagline, Paint for touch-up, and Adobe PhotoDeluxe for converting the file to PNG. Brion VIBBER then added transparency.
Tiếng Việt: Bản nháp sớm của biểu trưng Wikipedia tiếng Việt có khẩu hiệu đầu tiên của dự án, “Bách khoa tự do”. Đây là phiên bản duy nhất có mỗi từ trong khẩu hiệu được viết hoa. Tôi vẽ hình này theo biểu trưng Wikipedia tiếng Anh của Nohat. Dòng khẩu hiệu dùng phông chữ Thryomanes, thay vì Hoefler Text, vì hồi đó trên máy của tôi chỉ có Thryomanes nhìn giống Hoefler nhất, và nó cũng bao gồm các chữ tiếng Việt có dấu sẵn. Tôi làm hình này dùng Microsoft Publisher để thêm khẩu hiệu, Paint để chỉnh sửa, và Adobe PhotoDeluxe để chuyển đổi tập tin thành PNG. Sau đó, Brion VIBBER làm nó trong suốt. |
